Cheers, you're the man :)
ReplyDeleteThis is fast becoming my favourite music blog. Great eclectic taste, always something that I haven't heard of, and if the man comes after you, it has encouraged me to buy some of the stuff.
ReplyDeletehi there
ReplyDeletea question about your incredible ipod warrior picture, where does it comes from ? doesn't look like a photshop work but a real one, who's the guy who catched this ??
Can't tell you about the picture. I found it on the web and thought it fits the name well...
ReplyDeletethese albums are fantastico, thanks!!
ReplyDeleteyour blog is great blog.i like this.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, wonderful stuff. Is there a Vol. 3?
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't know of the third volume. I doubt there is one.
ReplyDeleteBut check out compilations "Lagos All Routes" and "Lagos Chop Up", if you are into stuff like this.
Many thanks for sharing this great afrobeat.
ReplyDeleteThere is indeed a third disc to this set, but it is a 5-part audio documentary that tells the history of this music rather than another disc full of tunes. Also worth checking out is a 'sequel' of sorts put out by this same label (Strut) in 2007 called 'Nigeria 70 - Lagos Jump'. It is downright criminal that this excellent set is now out of print (Nigeria 70 - Lagos Jump is still available, though).
ReplyDeleteCan you re-up it? please!! :( !
